Evrenseki - Ilica

In 547 B.C. our region remained under the rule of Persians coming over Iran. Persians dominated Side and Aspendos. They even had naval warfare in front of Aspendos against Ancient Greek King Kimon in the year of 564 B.C. On that date we understand that the ships entered deep inside the land from the sea.

Even the fossils extracted from underground in our days authenticate this opinion we have. West of Köprü Creek (EVRİMEDON) was known as Pamfilya and the region including the east of Manavgat Creek (Melas-Karasu) was known as East Pamfilya. Starting from the years of 1500-1660 until the years of 1800s, Yuruks used to live on the highland during summer months and they used to live in this warm and wellwatered region close to the coastline of Mediterranean during winter months.

Overfalling waters of Ilıca River feeds not only humans but also all living beings. This life source river gives life to living beings from the fountain constructed after starting settled life with one water slot and one double water slot and by giving warm water and cool water during summer by pulsing. Ilıca has started to stand in the forefront as one of the vital points of commerce also in the region where it takes place.
